Give me a new home PLEASE !! I am desperate.
My name is WOLF - please adopt me
Wolf is a GSD crossed with Northern Inuit. He currently lives with Me-ho. They can be re-homed separately. He barked when our volunteer knocked on the door, then once the owner invited her in Wolf had a sniff and his tail was wagging. When the volunteer sat down, he was giving lots of sniffs and kisses, he did try and jump up do greet and say hello and wanted to be the focus of her attention. After 5min he settled down and just lay down on the floor. Wolf is a very big dog, and due to his size alone he will need a home where his new owners will be firm but fair and keep him active by taking him long walks, running him to keep on top of his energy levels.Wolf has been brought up around children but as usual any children would need to be over 10. He was calm the whole time the volunteer was in the house.Wolf has never showed any signs of aggression with people who come into his house, but he doesn't like it when the mail comes through the door. He shreds the mail up, due to this his owner collects his mail from the sorting office. He has tried a cage on his door and it gets destroyed.
Wolf is protective of his garden and will bark at anyone going past. His owner also stated that Wolf will chase birds, but when they are on their walk in the field and get off lead Wolf doesn't bother about the horses that are close by.
Wolf pulls on lead, so this would need to be worked on. Our volunteer felt he pulls due to him wanting to be in front of Meho.
Wolf has never been in close contact with other dogs other than Me-ho so it is unknown how he would be with them. Wolf hasn't travelled much in the car and when he did he kept jumping through to the front seat. A cage or a good dog guard would need to be put in place for Wolfs safety.
